Yves Bissouma suggests £35m Liverpool player is actually better than Thomas Partey

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Yves Bissouma has ranked Liverpool’s Alexis Mac Allister higher than Arsenal star Thomas Partey.

The Premier League has some of the most talented midfielders in Europe. Arsenal‘s Partey is a world-class player and is up there with the best in the country. However, it looks like Bissouma doesn’t rate him.

Yves Bissouma suggests Alexis Mac Allister is better than Thomas Partey

Liverpool signed Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton last summer for £35 million (BBC).

The Argentine has been brilliant for the Reds. He has played in a box-to-box role as well as at the base of the midfield, and he has really impressed.

Arsenal star Thomas Partey, on the other hand, is a phenomenal player. Injuries have been really cruel to him, but when he’s fit, there aren’t many better midfielders in the world.

Tottenham star Yves Bissouma, who is a good midfield player himself, was asked to do a blind ranking on Spurs’ official TikTok account this week.

When he saw his Noth London rival Partey’s picture come up, he immediately put him at the bottom of his list.

As for Liverpool‘s Mac Allister, Bissouma placed him in fifth, ahead of John Terry, Federico Chiesa, Dani Carvajal, Edwin van der Sar and of course, last-placed Partey.

We’re sure Tottenham fans would’ve loved that.

Partey could save Arsenal’s season

Arsenal are currently third in the Premier League table and have just lost the first leg of their Champions League round of 16 tie. It’s definitely not the end of the world, but we’re sure Mikel Arteta would rather be in a better position now.

Thomas Partey returned to full training earlier this week and it’s only a matter of time now before he’s back in action for the Gunners.

That is a humongous boost for Arsenal. When he’s fully fit, Partey is arguably the best defensive midfielder in the Premier League – he showed that for large parts of last season.

If he can play every game from this weekend until the end of the season at his best level, we think it will be very difficult to stop Arsenal.
