Italian giants AC Milan have held talks with the agent of one Liverpool player about a move this summer.
Arne Slot is all set to take charge of the Reds and one of his first tasks as the new boss will be to evaluate his squad for the upcoming season. The Dutchman will surely want to keep hold of most players, but some could be shown the door.
One Liverpool player is now attracting interest from one of the biggest clubs in Italy, AC Milan.
What AC Milan were told after talking to Ryan Gravenberch’s agents
Liverpool signed Ryan Gravenberch from Bayern Munich on transfer deadline day in 2023 in a deal worth around £34 million (BBC).
The Dutchman has always been a hugely talented player. The world stood up and took notice when he was starring for Ajax as a youngster, and that quality has not disappeared.
Gravenberch joined Liverpool in a window where the Reds had already signed three other midfielders – Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai and Wataru Endo.
The former Bayern Munich man was always going to find it difficult to start every game as a result, but he did make 38 appearances in all competitions for Liverpool in the 2023/24 season.
Despite that, Gravenberch has been attracting interest recently.
Reports in April claimed that Turkish champions Galatasaray are interested in signing Gravenberch in the summer.
Now, CalcioMercato reveal that AC Milan have contacted the midfielder’s agent, Enzo Raiola, to discuss if a move to the San Siro would be possible.
However, Milan found out that the ‘economic conditions’ are not favourable for a move right now, but they have promised to return if that were to change before the window shuts in August.

Seeing Gravenberch leave Liverpool after just one year would be strange.
The Dutchman is still only 22 years old. He is already a really good player and has improved since joining Liverpool.
The fact that Slot, who is also Dutch, will be Gravenberch’s manager could benefit him behind the scenes at Liverpool in the 2024/25 season.
That’s probably why the midfielder has come out and claimed that he wants to stay at Liverpool for many years.
Speaking to Algemeen Dagblad, Gravenberch said: “A top club, I hope to play here for years to come.”
Speaking about Slot, he added: “No, I’ve never spoken to him. Not even during my time as an Ajax player. But he is a trainer who likes attacking football.
“That should suit me, you would think. We will see.”
