134 Joe Cole has backed Liverpool to beat Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.
Cole was speaking on TNT Sports last night after watching Jurgen Klopp’s side thrash Chelsea 4-1.
The win keeps Liverpool five points above Mikel Arteta’s men heading into Sunday’s game, with the Gunners currently sitting third.
Arsenal’s form over the festive period has seen them fall slightly off the pace in the race for the Premier League title.
But after back-to-back wins in the league, a victory over Klopp’s side this weekend would put them right back in the mix.
However, Joe Cole cannot see past Liverpool picking up a win in north London.
Cole backs Liverpool to beat Arsenal
Speaking on TNT Sports, Cole explained why he fancies Liverpool to pick up a statement win at the Emirates.
He said: “You have to fancy Liverpool, haven’t you? I think if they play like they did tonight they would beat any team.
“They were outstanding. He can pick two players in each position and they would be equally as strong, they’re in a fantastic position.”
It is difficult to look past Liverpool this weekend as they have been in exceptional form of late.
Arsenal seem to be getting back to their best but Liverpool boast an excellent record against the Gunners in north London.
Klopp’s side recently picked up a 2-0 win in north London in the FA Cup and in our view, they will take all three points back to Merseyside on Sunday.
