Liverpool and Manchester City have undoubtedly been the two best teams in England over the past few years.
Both sides have won all there is to win at domestic and European level over the last few years, and, as you can imagine, there have been endless comparisons between the two sides.
The two face off again this weekend, and speaking on Premier League Productions, Clinton Morrison has had a go at creating a combined XI made up of both squads.
Morrison initially stated that he believes only Alisson, Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah would get into Man City’s team, but after hearing his co-host’s team, he then stated that Andrew Robertson would also get into this City side.

Morrison spoke about his combined XI and the £8m man.
“I’d say Alisson, Van Dijk, Salah,” Morrison said.
“I’ll give you my team quickly. Alisson in goal, Walker at right-back, he’s a better defender. Dias and Van Dijk at centre-back and then Robertson at left-back,” The host said.
“Yeah, I agree with Robertson,” Morrison concluded.
Imagine that team
Obviously this is all hypothetical, but could you imagine how dominant a team made up of these players would be.
Van Dijk and Ruben Dias would be an unpassable defensive duo, while Mohamed Salah and Erling Haaland in the same attack is a mouth-watering prospect.
The big contention points in this combined XI certainly come at full-back. The Trent Alexander-Arnold vs Kyle Walker debate has gone on for years at this point, while there’s a case to make for Robertson to get in above Nathan Ake at left-back too.
Regardless on your view of what this combined XI looks like, you have to agree that these two are two of the best teams in Premier League history, and the winner of this weekend’s match may well go on to become champions.
