Yaya Toure has named Bayern Munich star and Liverpool target Leroy Sane as the fastest player he ever played with.
The Ivorian, who is now retired, shared the dressing room with some of the best players in the world throughout his career. He knows a good player when he sees one, and he says Liverpool-linked Sane was quicker than any of his old teammates.

Liverpool have had to consider life without Mohamed Salah next year.
The Egyptian is one of the best players in the world, and he is the biggest reason why the Reds have been so successful over the last few years.
However, there is a very big chance that Salah will leave Liverpool at the end of this season. He has been heavily linked with a move to Saudi Arabia, where he will earn an absolute fortune.
Liverpool will need to replace Salah if he does leave, and Leroy Sane has been linked with a move to Anfield in 2024 as a potential replacement for the Egyptian.
Now, speaking to Goal, Manchester City legend Yaya Toure has named Sane as the fastest player he has ever played with.
He said: “Leroy Sane, because when he starts with the ball – without the ball, I don’t know – but with the ball, I don’t think someone can catch him.”

Replacing Mohamed Salah if he leaves next year will be a monumental task for Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool.
The Egyptian is one of a kind and there aren’t many players who will guarantee over 30 goals every season when playing out wide.
Leroy Sane is no Salah, but the German is a fantastic player in his own right. He is rapid, can play on both wings and the fact that he knows the Premier League already is a bonus.
If Salah does leave next summer, we think Sane would be a great signing for Liverpool.
