Liverpool forward Mo Salah reached the 200 goal mark this weekend as he continued to shine for Jurgen Klopp’s reds.
Salah struck twice to down Brentford and continue his fine run of form this season. The Egyptian star is firmly cemented as one of Liverpool’s all-time greats and this season, looks back to his very best.
For Salah, the achievement of getting to 200 goals will feel massive for him. The Reds have had some big players in the forward positions down the years. Legends like Ian Rush, Kenny Dalglish and Robbie Fowler are all rightly lauded by the Anfield faithful.
And speaking about Salah on TalkSPORT this morning, former PL midfielder Andy Townsend was full of praise for the winger.
Andy Townsend says Mo Salah goal record is ‘incredible’
Speaking alongside Ally McCoist this morning on TalkSPORT, Townsend admitted to being really impressed with Salah’s impact at Liverpool.
“What he’s achieved is incredible. Particularly now as a goal scorer off of one side, he’s not down the middle. To get those numbers is some achievement. To have 200 in six years is a pretty healthy return isn’t it, wow,” Townsend said.

Liverpool are continuing to look like genuine title contenders this season and there are some huge games set to come up in the new few gameweeks.
If Salah can continue the sort of form he is in then there is no reason whatsoever why Liverpool can’t stay in the mix all season long.
After being doubted a touch last season and his future being in doubt all summer, Salah has once again shown everyone just how good he can be.
