Liverpool have some absolutely incredible players on their books right now.
The Reds have a number of players who have to be classified as being world-class, and perhaps the one player who stands out the most in his position is Alisson Becker.
Nobody can deny that Alisson is one of the very best goalkeepers in the world, and speaking on his podcast, Ben Foster has named Alisson and Ederson as two of the best goalies in Premier League history.
According to Foster, both Brazilians are world-class operators, claiming that they are part of a brand new modern breed of goalkeeper that can do absolutely everything on the pitch.

Foster spoke highly of the Liverpool goalkeeper and Ederson.
“I think these are two of the brand new modern goalkeepers. There aren’t many of them about, there really isn’t, that can do, I mean absolutely everything. You put a ball into the box, he’ll come and take it, you want a world class save, he’ll do that, you want a sweeper keeper? Cool. You want distribution quick? Oh my gosh,” Foster said.
“Thibaut Courtois, for me, before he got his injury was probably one of the best stop-the-ball-going-into-the-back-of-the-net goalkeepers, and I still have him in my top three in the world, but for the complete package, these two goalkeepers have changed the game. They have absolutely changed the game, they have ruined so many goalie’s careers that do not like the ball at their feet, honestly they have killed them because you have to be able to do that now.”
Has it all
Foster is absolutely right, Alisson has it all as a goalkeeper.
Not only is he probably the best shot-stopper on the planet, he’s also incredible when it comes to distribution, creating and commanding his backline.
Alisson cost Liverpool £66m a few years ago, but that fee already looks like an absolute bargain.
When all is said and done, Alisson may go down as one of the best goalkeepers we’ve ever seen in the Premier League.
