Liverpool have a few players who you could classify as being underrated.
The likes of Joe Gomez, Andy Robertson and Wataru Endo probably don’t get the credit they deserve at times.
Speaking to Squawka, Glen Johnson has been discussing another Liverpool player he feels is underrated, and he stated that he thinks Harvey Elliott rarely gets the credit he deserves for Liverpool, claiming that the midfielder has genuinely been world-class lately.

Johnson spoke about the £40k-a-week man.
“Do you think Harvey Elliott gets the credit he deserves for his performances at Liverpool?” Johnson was asked.
“Probably not, to be honest. Because the last few games, I think he’s been world class. He does the simple things very, very well, and people take that for granted. His short passes, his short little movements, if you’re watching him, his head’s always on a turn. He knows exactly where people are,” Johnson said.
“He’s brave to get on the ball, and brave to get on the ball in a huge game like the one at the weekend. Someone like Diaz, of course they catch your eye. And Nunez, of course they get the limelight, and that’s fine. But I think there’s a lot of work that Harvey does that he doesn’t get credit for.”
Been brilliant
Johnson isn’t exaggerating when he says that Elliott has been world-class for Liverpool recently.
The midfielder was incredible against Manchester City at the weekend, and that’s not the only standout performance he’s put in recently.
Perhaps it’s no coincidence that Elliott has improved since Mohamed Salah has been out of the team and he’s played more of a role on the wide right.
Elliott has often played in midfield for Liverpool, but perhaps his long-term future is as a creative winger down that right flank.
