Thompson said on talkSPORT (11:30 am, January 26, 2024): “This guy has changed things for us Liverpool fans. This guy has brought us back honour.
“Without Jurgen Klopp and this Liverpool side Man City would have ran away with everything, there would not have been anyone else to test Man City and Pep Guardiola.
“He has improved players. He has made players better. Sadio Mane, good player, he made him a world star. Mo Salah good player, made him an absolute world star. Bobby Firmino, what he did. Van Dijk coming from Southampton, yes, he was a good player – but he’s made him better.
“He’s made young players great players. Trent Alexander-Arnold. Andy Robertson, average player with Hull, a world beater with Liverpool. I could go on and on!”
My View: Liverpool fans should be positive about the future
In my opinion, Liverpool fans have to stay positive about the future after Jurgen Klopp.
Klopp is one of the greatest managers in Liverpool history and is one of the best football coaches of all time.
The German has been superb for Liverpool over the years, guiding them to Premier League and UEFA Champions League success.
It is not going to be easy for Liverpool to find a suitable replacement for Klopp, but I believe that the Anfield faithful should be confident.
I am sure that FSG will find the most suitable candidate to fill the managerial role at Liverpool once Klopp leaves.
