Liverpool are the best team in the Premier League right now, but, perhaps more excitingly, they have some of the best young players in the league too.
The likes of Conor Bradley, Jarell Quansah and Bobby Clark all look like top players in the making, and there’s another youngster at Liverpool who perhaps doesn’t get discussed as much as he should.
Harvey Elliott played his 100th game for Liverpool this week, and it’s easy to forget that he’s only 20 years old.
The midfielder has the world at his feet, and speaking on Premier League Productions, John Hartson has been full of praise for the 20-year-old, claiming that he is a wonderful talent who is always trying to make things happen on the ball.

The pundit spoke highly of the youngster.
“I just like the fact he goes hunting for the ball. He rarely wastes the ball, he’s always trying to play forwards. He has a really good left foot and he is a busy player, Harvey Elliott can do so much with the ball at his feet, he’s a grafter and he’s a wonderful talent, that’s why he’s in this Liverpool team,” Hartson said.
What a player
Elliott is rarely discussed among Liverpool’s young stars because he’s so established already.
This young man is already a mainstay in this Liverpool team at the age of just 20, and if he can improve in the way you’d expect a 20-year-old to over the next few years, he will be a world-class talent.
We’ve almost got used to how talented Elliott is, but when you actually sit down and think about how young this player actually is and what he has already achieved, it’s bordering on mind-blowing.
Elliott is one of the best young players in England, make no mistake about it.
