Christian Eriksen has been speaking about Jurgen Klopp after the FA Cup thriller between Manchester United and Liverpool on Sunday.
The 32-year-old specifically discussed the German’s outburst towards Niels Christian Frederiksen, and shared what Rasmus Hojlund did with the Dane.
So, what did Manchester United No.14 Christian Eriksen say about Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp? Let’s take a look…
Christian Eriksen comments on Jurgen Klopp
Well, the Denmark international admits he “laughed” after seeing the £301,923-a-week man storm out of an interview with Frederiksen, and revealed that Hojlund sat next to the reporter during a flight to Denmark afterwards.
Klopp went viral after calling the Danish journalist “unfit” to ask questions before walking away, having become irritated by a question about Liverpool’s lack of intensity in extra-time.
Discussing that moment, Eriksen is quoted by Tipsbladet as saying: “I laughed a little at that. I happened to meet Per Frimann, who is his colleague on the plane on the way home.
“I know that Rasmus Højlund sat the whole flight home with Niels Christian so I think they had some good conversations. It’s journalism, and what they ask is not something you have anything to do with, but Klopp was obviously tired and annoyed after they had lost.”

Nevertheless, managers have to conduct themselves appropriately regardless of the result, something Klopp failed to do on Sunday when speaking to Frederiksen.
Liverpool must ensure 4-3 loss does not derail season
Losing a game is one thing, but throwing a 3-2 lead away in extra-time at the home of bitter rivals is truly something else.
A number of players – specifically Darwin Nunez and Harvey Elliott, who lost possession for Manchester United’s third and fourth goals respectively – may still be reeling from the defeat, but there is no time for a distraction as Liverpool attempt to win the Premier League and UEFA Europa League.
