Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp was really impressed with Luis Diaz’s performance against Fulham last night.
The Reds drew 1-1 at Craven Cottage, but that was enough to send them through to the final of the competition thanks to their 2-1 lead in the first leg. Diaz scored Liverpool‘s only goal last night, and he had a solid game.

Luis Diaz started for Liverpool on the left flank yesterday and was really good.
The Colombian was lucky to score his goal in the first half – Bernd Leno made a meal of what should’ve been a straightforward save for a goalkeeper of his quality.
Diaz remained a huge threat throughout the game, and even though he got one of his passes wrong, he could’ve easily had an assist.
Jurgen Klopp was asked about Diaz’s performance after the game, and the Liverpool boss was full of praise for the 27-year-old.
He said, as per Liverpool’s official website: “Very good. He’s a fantastic player, absolutely. Absolutely no criticism but I wish he would’ve set up the second and scored the third because first half, it was a fantastic football situation where he was in a similar situation like when he scored.
“But playing-wise, what a boy! The speed, the power he can generate, the technique, the combination of all that… it is absolutely outstanding. I am really happy.”

Luis Diaz is one of Liverpool‘s most entertaining players, and it’s always a joy to watch him play.
The 27-year-old is quick, an excellent dribbler, and when he’s in full flow, it’s extremely difficult to stop him. He has improved a lot since joining the Reds, but there’s definitely more room for improvement.
Diaz has scored seven goals in all competitions this season, just three of which have come in the Premier League. That is not a great return for a player of his quality.
Klopp is delighted with Diaz’s performances, but we’re sure he’d want the Colombian to add more goals and assists to his name. He’s definitely capable.
