After a brilliant result for Liverpool against Arsenal today, there were quite a few performances that Alan Shearer could have celebrated.
Ibrahima Konate was imperious at the back, Trent Alexander-Arnold sublime in his passing, but it was one of Liverpool’s substitutes who really impressed Shearer.

And it was the latter who caught Shearer’s eye against Arsenal, with the Liverpool defender adding much needed defensive cover.
Shearer was watching the game for the BBC and thought Bradley was really alert in his defending.
He said: “Well done Connor Bradley, really good defending, staying alive and alert, doing his job. They’ve conceded a corner but he had to do that.”
He continued: “He’s done well hasn’t he, done a really good job and looked impressive when he’s come on.”
Despite his excellent performance, Trent Alexander-Arnold is not famous for his one versus one defending.
And Bradley’s introduction was vital to stop Gabriel Martinelli making forays into the Liverpool box at 0-1.
Alan Shearer really impressed by Liverpool’s Conor Bradley against Arsenal
Of course, with all of the unavailability Liverpool are experiencing it certainly bodes well that their young players can step up.
Bobby Clark didn’t quite have the impact of Bradley but even he did produce a clever foul at an important point in the game – accepting his yellow card with no issues.

And that mentality could ultimately be the difference between the two sides in their attempt to challenge Manchester City for the title this season.
Bradley was important for Liverpool against Arsenal, and they’ll certainly need their whole squad to pull together whilst Mohamed Salah is away.
Incidentally, Danny Murphy has now also named his player of the match for Klopp’s side against Arsenal.
It was a excellent second half reaction by Liverpool, who will take so much confidence into the games to come.
