Andy Robertson has shared the ‘one thing’ Jurgen Klopp has asked of his Liverpool players since Friday’s announcement.
Jurgen Klopp shocked the footballing world on Friday as he announced that he will be leaving Anfield at the end of the season.
The German will call time on his spell in Liverpool after nine years at the club this summer.
Klopp has delivered huge success on the pitch during his time in Merseyside, lifting every club trophy available to Liverpool between 2019 and 2023.

And after Friday’s announcement, Andy Robertson has shared what Klopp has asked of his players between now and the end of the season.

Speaking to ITV after today’s 4-2 win over Norwich City in the FA Cup, Robertson reflected on Friday’s news and admitted it left Liverpool’s players shocked.
“Like the rest of the world, it was a bit of a shock,” the Scotsman admitted. “When he told us all I think nobody really knew where to look or what to do.
“You have to respect his decision. He’s thought long and hard about it. He’s not a rash person.
“He’s obviously thought a lot with it in terms of his family and everything like that. For what he has done for this club we will all be forever grateful.
“I think he doesn’t want the fans singing his song and that, but I think he’s going to lose that battle! Unfortunately, I think the fans [will] always want to say a proper goodbye to him.
“But for us players the one thing he asked of us is that it has to be business as usual. We have to keep fighting on all fronts. We have to keep winning games and hopefully that results in giving him a send off that he truly deserves.”

Liverpool currently lead the way and will have the opportunity to pick up their first piece of silverware this season in the League Cup at the end of February.
Klopp will undoubtedly be keen to go out on a high and Liverpool’s squad should be eager to send a legend off with a memorable campaign.
While Friday’s news is set to dominate the headlines over the coming weeks, it would appear that Klopp and his players are fully focused on the task at hand.
