'Wasn't happy'...Sky Sports pundit says Diogo Jota was absolutely furious with two Liverpool players today

Diogo Jota scored a stunning goal for Liverpool this afternoon cruised to another big win over Brentford at Anfield.

The Reds were two in front when Mo Salah twice scored to give them the lead and then Jota got in on the act as well, firing a brilliant effort into the top corner.

However, it wasn’t a happy day all around for Jota. There were times when Brentford were frustrating the home side and with that, Liverpool started to rush a few things.

And watching on for Sky Sports, Peter Smith noticed how Jota was absolutely furious with Cody Gakpo and Kostas Tsimikas for trying to force efforts on goal.

“It was interesting to see Jota’s reactions to those two speculative digs from Tsimikas and Gakpo in quick succession… he wasn’t impressed by the first one, when he was in a good position, and he definitely wasn’t happy to see the second crack either! He probably has a point – Liverpool need to have a bit more patience in their build-up,” Smith wrote.

Jota demands perfection at Liverpool

The Portuguese striker did get his goal in the end today and he produced when it mattered, but he is definitely a player who likes things done right.

We’ve seen in the past how Jota can become agitated if things aren’t going right and this is just typical of his standards really.

Since signing for Liverpool, Jota has proven to be a top forward player and he’s scored big and crucial goals in plenty of games along the way.

Crucially, he also understands the game and that’s why Jurgen Klopp loves to pick him.

This is just one of those examples really. Jota could see how the game was going and just voiced his annoyance when his fellow players didn’t catch on.
