168 Liverpool star Alexis Mac Allister has shared an update about his injury on Instagram, and many of his teammates, including Virgil van Dijk, have shown him some love.
Jurgen Klopp‘s side are in a fantastic position. They have won their Europa League group and are also currently on top of the Premier League table. Mac Allister’s injury, however, has dampened the mood a little bit.
Liverpool’s Alexis Mac Allister spotted on crutches
Liverpool signed Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton and Hove Albion in the summer for an initial fee of £35 million (Sky Sports).
The Argentine has been a big hit at Anfield. He showed a lot of promise in the middle of the park, and even though he has been deployed in a deeper role at times, he has done a decent job.
Unfortunately for Mac Allister, in the game against Sheffield United last week, he suffered a really painful injury on his knee that required stitches at half-time.
The 24-year-old missed the game against Crystal Palace at the weekend and he is likely to be out for a little while. However, he has promised Liverpool fans that he is working hard to come back.
Mac Allister posted a few pictures of his recovery over the last week on Instagram. In one of them, he can be seen using crutches to stand, while in another, there appears to be a brace on his knee.
A number of his mates, past and present, showed him some love. Virgil van Dijk replied with a heart emoji, while Ibrahima Konate wrote: “Get well soon hermano!”

Liverpool‘s midfield is definitely their weakest area of the pitch.
The Reds’ attack is electrifying, while their defence and Alisson in goal make them one of the best sides in the entire Premier League.
However, despite the additions of Dominik Szoboszlai and Wataru Endo in the summer, they aren’t quite where they want to be in the middle of the park.
Mac Allister’s injury now makes things worse, and Liverpool fans will be hoping he will be back soon. It will be interesting to see if he can make it back in time for the Arsenal game before Christmas.
