Liverpool produced another dominant performance against Brentford yesterday to cement themselves at the top of the table.
With Manchester City then only picking up a point against Chelsea, the Reds now find themselves some four points clear of Pep Guardiola’s side and two clear of Arsenal in second.
Of course, there is a long way to go but the signs are looking positive for Jurgen Klopp and his team.
Photo by Justin Setterfield/Getty ImagesOne of the key reasons for Liverpool being in such fine form is the performances and goals of star striker, Darwin Nunez. The Uruguayan was once again on the scoresheet yesterday as he scored a fine chipped goal to open the scoring.
And after taking to Instagram to celebrate the win over Brentford, his Liverpool teammates were down in the comments showing Nunez some love.

With each passing week, Darwin Nunez is chipping away at the usual narrative that he misses too many chances of might no be quite good enough to lead Liverpool to glory.
Before being taken off at half-time as a precaution yesterday, Nunez was a constant menace to the Brentford defence and his goal showed all the quality of a world-class striker.
Liverpool are suffering a bit with injuries at the moment and they will be desperately hoping that Nunez going off yesterday was nothing more than just a tentative worry.
If Nunez can stay fit and be in the form he’s in at the moment, then the sky is the limit for both he and the club.
