Liverpool strolled their way past Brentford today as they produced a ruthless display of finishing to get the three points sewn up.
Goals from Darwin Nunez, Mo Salah, Cody Gakpo and Alexis Mac Allister ensured a fine day at the office for the Reds, who are firmly in title contention.
Of course, there is more to this Liverpool team than being brilliant going forward and one of the recent standouts for them has been young full-back, Conor Bradley.
The 20-year-old has emerged from the shadows to fill in brilliantly for Trent Alexander-Arnold. And after today, Jurgen Klopp was full of praise for his young defender.
Jurgen Klopp praises Conor Bradley
Speaking to the official Liverpool media channels after the game, Klopp said that he was so so happy with how Bradley was performing.
“I am over the moon about him. Yes, you are right, it was pretty special. Very, very special. But he was special before the weekend. He’s now again pretty special. He played an exceptional game. We had the situation again with changes. Who do we take off? Is it Robbo who played a second game in a row after a long, long break. Or is it Conor? [We] decided in the end for Conor. Robbo can maybe manage it with his experience slightly better. Yeah, very impressive, absolutely,” Klopp said.
Bradley a superstar in the making
Liverpool are producing some stellar young players at the moment and Conor Bradley seems to be the shining light among them all.
Bradley looks like he has been playing at the highest level for years already and weirdly, he might end up keeping Alexander-Arnold out of the team, he’s that good.
Liverpool are blowing teams away at the moment and Bradley has been like a new signing at right-back.
Clearly, he is a huge talent and Klopp himself seems mesmerised by just how good his young full-back is.
