Heading into the January transfer window there was a lot of chat about Andre Trindade joining Liverpool.
The Brazilian was said to be one of the Reds’ top targets this month, but here we are halfway through the window, and there’s been no movement on that front.
So, what’s going on with Andre? Is he going to sign? Well, according to Ian Doyle, speaking on the Blood Red Podcast, this move is now very unlikely with the journalist claiming that the £25m player would’ve joined Liverpool by now if this deal was going to happen.

Doyle shared his verdict on these rumours.
“The next question is, is anything likely to happen with Andre?
“Well, it looks very unlikely doesn’t it. If they were going to bring him in they’d have brought him in at the start of January or even before it. They had a little look in the summer and ended up getting Endo, what is interesting for me is that the other club linked with him are Fulham, and I’m not saying anything bad about Fulham, but they’re not quite in the same league as Liverpool,” Doyle said.
Is he going to move?
Andre was touted for a move to England this January for months before the window even opened, but now, it’s unclear if he’ll even get his move.
As Doyle says, Fulham have been linked, but their interest is supposedly waning, while there has been a distinct lack of other rumours on this front.
Andre needs a move if he’s going to establish himself as an elite player in world football, but it looks as though he could well end up staying at Fluminense for a little bit longer as no teams appear to be forthcoming in their interest in the midfielder.
