Liverpool’s search for a new manager will reach a conclusion over the next few weeks.
Indeed, Jurgen Klopp will be leaving the Reds in just over a month, and the Merseyside club need to have a replacement lined up.
So, who will replace Klopp at Liverpool? Well, Ruben Amorim has been touted as a top candidate for the job, and, by the sounds of it, he has the backing of Jamie Carragher.

The pundit spoke about Amorim, claiming that he’d be a very good acquisition and that he’d take him over Roberto De Zerbi.
“It looks like he’s the favourite right now, I don’t have any inside information, but reading reports that’s what it feels like. Looks like he’s on for the double this season. I think if Liverpool could bring in a title-winner in his last season in his previous job that could be a very good acquisition for Liverpool if it’s Mr Amorim,” Carragher said.
“I’m maybe more Amorim than De Zerbi,” Carragher later said.
Ruben Amorim looks like a great candidate
Carragher says that Amorim would be a top acquisition, and we’re inclined to agree.
He’s worked wonders with Sporting over the past few years, not only winning trophies and playing great football, but also developing young players into stars and helping them improve.
Amorim has been brilliant at Sporting over the past few years, and he’s done more than enough to earn a shot at a top club like Liverpool.
Of course, whether or not the Reds do ultimately appoint the Portuguese gaffer remains to be seen, but all the noise coming out of Anfield at the moment seem to point towads the Merseyside club going after the Sporting boss.
Amorim could be the ideal replacement for Klopp this summer.
