Liverpool have gone all around the houses in their search for a new manager.
The Reds have reportedly looked at a number of gaffers after Jurgen Klopp announced that he’s set to depart this summer, and the rumour mill went into overdrive this weekend.
Indeed, Jose Mourinho was spotted at Craven Cottage watching Liverpool against Fulham, and, of course, many wondered whether that had anything to do with the upcoming Anfield vacancy.
Speaking on the Blood Red Podcast, Didi Hamann has been discussing the idea of Mourinho coming to Liverpool, and he says that while he wouldn’t be his top choice, he would find Mourinho very entertaining at Anfield.

Hamann spoke about the idea of Mourinho coming to Liverpool.
“I could see a lot. You’ve seen Tuchel come to Bayern Munich and everyone said this is it for five years, but now they’re going to part ways.
“You never know if it will work out unless people are there. Would he be my first choice? Probably not because of the young players at the club, but it would be very entertaining and I have huge respect for him.
“I think if he came to Liverpool you need someone who understands what he has and the people, and I think that’s always been a part of Mourinho’s philosophy. Would he be my choice? Probably not, but there’s only so many managers out there,” Hamann said.
Jose Mourinho would be a rollercoaster
We can’t say whether or not Mourinho’s football would be entertaining at Liverpool, but seeing Mourinho back in the Premier League is always good value.
There aren’t many managers with his personality in the game anymore, and he’s always fantastic to listen to in any press conference.
It’s hugely unlikely that we’ll see Mourinho at Anfield next season, but if the former Chelsea boss was to come to Merseyside, it would be one of the stories of the century.
