Conor Bradley is making quite the name for himself at Liverpool.
The young right-back has been absolutely brilliant in recent weeks as he’s emerged as a first-team player at Anfield.
However, there’s still this nagging feeling that he’s only in the team as a stopgap until Trent Alexander-Arnold returns from injury.
Indeed, Bradley doesn’t quite feel like he’s first-choice at Liverpool due to Alexander-Arnold’s presence in the team, but that view is doing Bradley a bit of a disservice.
As hard as it is to believe, Bradley already has as many assists a Alexander-Arnold this season, and according to Robbie Mustoe, speaking on The Two Robbies Podcast, the full-back’s abilities are slightly underappreciated.

Mustoe spoke about the young defender.
“I have to do my underappreciated performer. Conor Bradley is my underappreciated performer and one to watch. That sort of game, you have to watch him, he’s a special player, I just did a bit of a breakdown on his game, and it shows how he’s a good defender and he’s willing and able to bomb forward, he’s really quick. Underappreciated is an odd one because he’s only just started playing and he will be appreciated quickly, but he’s one to watch,” Mustoe said.
Plenty to prove
As much as we’re loving watching Bradley at the moment and he’s playing some brilliant stuff, he still has plenty to prove if he’s going to be a Liverpool first-teamer in the long term.
He’s still only played a handful of games, and while he’s been incredibly bright, there’s still so much we don’t know about this young man’s abilities.
We don’t know how he’ll react to any sort of setback, and we don’t know if he’ll be able to keep up this level of form.
Bradley may be slightly underappreciated as a player at the moment, but we can understand why there may be a touch of scepticism around the full-back.
