Liverpool youngster James McConnell has now detailed what he’s learnt from Harvery Elliott since he’s been around the senior side.
McConnell hasn’t looked back since his pre-season involvement in Jurgen Klopp’s first team, and has now featured in four squads this campaign.
And since he’s been regularly training with the Liverpool squad he says he’s been able to learn a lot.
In particular McConnell name checked Liverpool teammate Harvey Elliott as someone who has given him an important piece of advice.
Speaking to Liverpool’s official site, McConnell said: “You learn a lot from being around the senior players.
“You see all the work that they put in and how they react after wins or losses, keeping level-headed and how professional they are.
“I think it really helps you mature quickly and get ready to step into the senior game.
“There’s also loads of things you can learn from them individually. [Alexis] Mac Allister is a World Cup winner, [Dominik] Szoboszlai’s a top, top player.
“You can only learn from people like them and [Wataru] Endo, Curtis [Jones], Ryan [Gravenberch] and Harvey [Elliott].
“They also give me little tips. For instance, Harvey was helping me when I was a bit unaware of some of the positional stuff.”

Of course, Liverpool do travel to Bournemouth in the EFL Cup tonight and McConnell may be hoping for more minutes.
The young midfielder made his debut against Toulouse in the Europa League last week and enjoyed a couple of minutes in the middle.
Although, it will be no easy feat to earn a bigger role in the coming months.
Liverpool now arguably have their best midfield options since the likes of Xabi Alonso and Steven Gerrard.
Dominik Szoboszlai already looks like an historic signing for the club, and Liverpool will be pleased that other clubs were hesitant to make a move.
Ryan Gravenberch is also settling remarkably well in Klopp’s new look trio.
And it certainly bodes very well that youngsters like James McConnell can enjoy advice from the likes of Elliott and Szoboszlai as they progress at Liverpool.
