133 Liverpool have had some truly incredible attacking players over the years.
Luis Suarez, Sadio Mane, Michael Owen, Robbie Fowler, that list of legendary Liverpool attackers is almost endless.
Speaking on Leeds United’s TikTok, Sam Byram has made quite the claim about two Liverpool legends now.
Byram was tasked with ranking some of the very best players the game has ever seen, and two players who had had to rank were Fernando Torres and Mohamed Salah.
Byram put Salah at number four in his list, but he was torn as to whether or not Torres should go higher or lower.
Eventually, Byram settled on the conclusion that Salah was in fact better than Torres, but he made it clear that he thought this was a close-run debate.

Byram spoke about the two Liverpool stars.
“Prime Torres? Ooh, is he better than prime Salah? That’s a tricky one isn’t it? Nah, number six isn’t he,” Byram said.

Now this is a debate that will split the Liverpool fanbase.
Torres was a top class player, he won the World Cup and he finished second in the Ballon d’Or voting back in 2008.
However, while Salah doesn’t have the same trophy haul, he has to be considered the better player.
Salah has three Premier League Golden Boots to his name, while Torres has zero, while the Spaniard struggled to find any sort of form after leaving Liverpool, while Salah has been much better in terms of longevity.
Don’t get us wrong, both of these players are absolutely incredible, and Liverpool fans adore them both, but if you’re putting both players in their prime against each other, we’d have to opt for Salah over Torres.
Liverpool have been so lucky to see so much attacking talent over the years.
