Trent Alexander-Arnold has suggested that Mohamed Salah is a better player than Harry Kane.
Alexander-Arnold was taking part in a TikTok challenge for JD Football where he had to fill out a footballing bracket and ultimately decide a winner between two options when asked who is the better player.
Alexander-Arnold chose the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo over Kylian Mbappe and Samuel Eto’o over Lautaro Martinez, but perhaps his toughest choice was between his two teammates.
Indeed, Alexander-Arnold knows both Salah and Kane very well, from Liverpool and England duties, and now, he’s had to pick between both players.
The right-back did hesitate a little bit, but ultimately, he chose Salah.

Kane is a truly incredible player, don’t get us wrong, but Salah’s CV is much better.
Not only does Salah have more major trophies to his name, perhaps suprirsingly, he’s also won more Premier League Golden Boot awards.
These two are very different players of course, they’re both goalscorers who can create too, but they get their goals and assists in such different ways.
Salah’s main attribute is undoubtedly his speed and strength, while Kane has never been blessed with lightning pace, so he is a bit more technical a player.
There’s a case to make for both players being the best attacker in the world right now, but after so many years playing with Salah and tasting success, we can understand why Alexander-Arnold has picked his Liverpool teammate over his England captain.
Who knows? Perhaps if Kane can fire England to Euros glory tthis summer, Alexander-Arnold’s view will change, but, for now, it’s easy to see why he thinks Salah is the better player.
