This is a fashion blog now.
A Saturday night might be a little slow news-wise, sure, but at least it involves one of our players?
Trent Alexander-Arnold, in his continued quest to broaden his horizons and his profile, was photographed at the Dolce & Gabbana Men’s show in Milan on Saturday, after missing Wednesday’s semi-final leg against Fulham with a knee injury.

— Anything Liverpool (@AnythingLFC_) January 13, 2024Why is this important? Well this isn’t the first time Premier League players have been brought into the fashion fold, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Erling Haaland both being invited and photographed at D&G events recently.
Trent’s expanding profile just shows that our little Academy kid is growing up and is trying to widen his own portfolio as it may be. He was profiled by GQ in 2020 (wearing Burberry!), after all, and he also recently invested in the Formula 1 team Alpine, joining the likes of Anthony Joshua and Rory McIlroy. So his attendance at this fashion show, while surprising, isn’t entirely unexpected. He even showed up wearing D&G (like you’re supposed to do, naturally), albeit from their Fall 2023 collections.
Would I have picked a more daring and interesting fashion house for Trent myself? Sure. Personally, I think the look makes him look like an extra from a Guy Ritchie heist movie. But even The Gentlemen had bright jewel tones and interesting prints throughout the costume and set design.
Can’t blame a guy for getting out there, though, especially in the insular world of footballers who all wear the same stuff.
