Well, the Argentine admitted that he didn’t actually hear the German when he first announced his exit from Liverpool.
Mac Allister was then left surprised by Salah’s response after asking the £34m Egyptian what Klopp said.
The South American said: “The moment was a bit crazy. We found out five minutes before it was publicly known in an unusual meeting.
“I was sitting next to (Mohamed) Salah, I asked him (what was said) and he told me, the coach is leaving. I thought he was leaving at that moment, but after he told me, I understood.
“It’s a personal decision. He has been here for many years and we want the best for him. This motivated us much more because we have to make it very special. His departure has to be very nice.”
Klopp’s final campaign at Liverpool has already seen one piece of silverware secured, after Sunday’s 1-0 Carabao Cup final win over Chelsea.
The Reds are still in with a chance of adding the Premier League, FA Cup and UEFA Europa League as well, in what could be a historic quadruple.

In our view, Klopp picked a smart time to announce his departure.
Not that Liverpool were faltering in any way before the 56-year-old shared the news, but since his statement, the Reds have seemingly gained a new lease of life.
Klopp announced his impending departure on January 26th – Liverpool have played seven games since that date, winning six and losing one, which came against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
Mac Allister even admitted that Klopp’s news motivated the Liverpool players, so hopefully, the Reds can add to the Carabao Cup victory before the season ends.
