With Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool reign set to come to an end following Sunday’s Premier League finale, it’ll be an emotional occasion for everyone linked with the Reds.

However, the need for continuity is important, and Liverpool and FSG haven’t wasted any time in making sure that there won’t be any disruption going into the summer.

For instance, Liverpool have already sourced a new manager, with Feyenoord’s Arne Slot set to take the reins at Anfield for next season.

On Friday afternoon, Fabrizio Romano claimed that the Dutchman had just put pen to paper on a contract at Anfield.

The transfer insider wrote on X: “Arne Slot formally signs his contract as new Liverpool head coach today, all documents are in place.

“The official announcement will follow with #LFC desired timing. Work permit still pending for some of his staff members and then it will be all sealed.”

Now, Romano has taken to X with yet another big update involving Slot, namely that he has confirmed his role for next season.

The Italian relayed comments made by the manager, who said: “I can confirm that I will be Liverpool manager next season.”

Romano also reiterated that Slot signed his contract with Liverpool today.

Liverpool ensuring continuity while honouring Jurgen Klopp reign

The next few days will be emotional for Liverpool as Jurgen Klopp prepares to take the Reds reins for the last time, and at Anfield too.

Liverpool have put a lot of work in to ensure Klopp gets as much recognition as possible, but at the same time, the need for continuity is a must.

The next few days will all be about Klopp as Liverpool and the fanbase will look to celebrate his fruitful Anfield reign.

Therefore, the likelihood is that an announcement about Slot won’t come until next week at the earliest.
