Jurgen Klopp has delivered his verdict on a manager Liverpool are interested in appointing as his successor this summer.
The Reds were dealt a big blow on Friday after Xabi Alonso confirmed that he will not be moving to Anfield. He is no longer an option.
Liverpool have since turned their attention to other names on their wish list, and Michael Edwards has a clear favourite for the job.
Klopp has now had his say on that manager, and the German has admitted that he could never coach like he does.

Liverpool have a huge task on their hands as they look to find Jurgen Klopp‘s successor.
Xabi Alonso would’ve been a very good option, but that dream is dead now. Michael Edwards and Richard Hughes have moved on to their other targets.
Quite a few names have been linked with the Liverpool job, but one Premier League manager is said to be among the favourites to replace Klopp.
That man is Roberto De Zerbi, who has been doing a great job at Brighton and Hove Albion since he replaced Graham Potter there in September 2022.
Liverpool are seriously considering him now, and Klopp has now claimed that the Italian plays a style of football that he could never replicate – because it goes against his personality.
Speaking in his press conference ahead of the game against Brighton, Klopp said: “The way they play, it’s a really different way – I couldn’t coach that, it goes against my personality, but it’s a good watch.
“It’s very demanding for the players, it’s clear positioning, hold your position, keep your positioning, pass in the right position, pass in the right moment. He’s a top coach, he’s doing really well. It’s super-interesting to see.
“I like watching them, to be honest. That makes it tricky. It’s just a different way. It’s possession-based but even more structured from a positional point of view from each player than maybe City or whoever has a bit more freedom.
“They do really well. On their day, they can beat any team. But now [the] good news, we can do that as well, so we will try.”

Jurgen Klopp is one of the best managers in the world.
The German has beaten almost every manager he has come up against over the years, and it is usually very difficult to tactically outclass him.
However, for one reason or another, Roberto De Zerbi has managed to avoid defeat against Klopp every time they have faced each other.
The Italian’s Brighton side have won two and drawn two of their four meetings against Klopp’s Liverpool. De Zerbi’s men have scored 10 goals in those games and have conceded just six.
That’s probably why he ranks so highly on Liverpool’s list, and the game on Sunday will give him another opportunity to show the Reds’ bosses that he is good enough to replace Klopp this summer.
