Liverpool face Tottenham on Sunday in what will be an intriguing battle between two teams that are struggling at the moment.

Indeed, after bright spells during the season, both Spurs and Liverpool have tailed off as of late, and it’s difficult to predict who will win this one.

Liverpool don’t have too much to play for after recent results all but ruled them out of the title race, while Tottenham still have an outside chance of the top four.

It would take a brave man to make a prediction ahead of this game, and, speaking on the An Echo of Glory Podcast, Jamie Carragher has put his neck on the line and has predicted how this one will go.

Jamie Carragher predicts Liverpool vs Tottenham

Carragher shared his verdict on how this game will go.

“I’m going to go 2-1 because Liverpool can’t keep a clean sheet at the moment so Tottenham will score. Tottenham can’t keep a clean sheet at the moment as well, thankfully, so I think we’ll just have a bit too much for you. Just, I think it will be a tight game and I’m looking forward to watching it,” Carragher said.

Liverpool are favourites

Liverpool may not have too much to play for heading into this game, but they still have to be considered as favourites here.

The Reds rarely lose at Anfield, and with Jurgen Klopp’s spell at the club coming to an end, the fans and players will be hoping to send the German off an a high note.

Meanwhile, Tottenham seem bereft of confidence and ideas at the minute, and it’s hard to fancy Spurs heading into any game, let alone away from home at Liverpool.

These two teams are incredibly unpredictable at the moment, but Liverpool are still the most likely victors heading into this match.
