Liverpool face Manchester City on Saturday, and, as you can imagine, all eyes heading into this game are on the two teams’ respective star players.
Mohamed Salah and Erling Haaland are undoubtedly the two best players in the Premier League right now, and they will both be desperate to make the difference in this game.
Speaking on the Sky Sports Football Podcast, Jamie Carragher has been previewing this game, and he’s stated that Salah could be the man to make the difference, claiming that he’s been a constant thorn in City’s side over the past 12 months and he could well have their number.

Carragher shared his verdict on the £34m winger.
“The Premier League is about these superstar players, and we have two on show here, hopefully they’re both firing and get goals in the game. I just heard before that Mo Salah scored in all of these games last season, I think it shows that he’s certainly, I wouldn’t say he’s got their number, but he’s a real thorn in the side of Manchester City,” Carragher said.
Big game player
Salah always thrives in these types of fixtures, and we have to imagine Saturday afternoon won’t be any different.
Whether he’s playing against a relegation-threatened team or one of the best clubs on the planet, Salah always gives his all and makes sure he turns up for the team.
Of course, coming up against a team like Man City isn’t easy, especially away from home, but, if any player is going to show up in this game and grab it by the scruff of the neck, it’s Salah.
It may well take a moment of genius to decide this match, and we wouldn’t be shocked if Salah was the man to produce that moment this weekend.
