Liverpool face Manchester United this weekend and the Reds will certainly be looking forward to this one.
The Reds, of course, battered United 7-0 in this fixture last time around, and with the Red Devils’ recent form being less than ideal, the Merseyside club may be salivating at the idea of playing against their great rivals this weekend.
Speaking on Five, Danny Murphy has now shared his verdict on how this game will play out, and he says that he expects Liverpool to beat United this weekend.

Murphy shared his verdict on how this game will go.
“If Liverpool don’t beat this Man United side then shame on them,” The host said.
“They will. Yeah, I don’t think Liverpool are the finished product, they didn’t play well at Palace, got a bit lucky, Fulham scored three at Anfield, and with Trent flying forward they’re very open, Matip is the calm one and he’s injured at the moment, I like Konate and he’s very good physically. Liverpool’s firepower, whoever he plays, how do you stop it?” Murphy said.
Heavy favourites
Liverpool may have won this game 7-0 last season, but they probably come into this game as stronger favourites than they did nine months ago.
Indeed, United come into this one in shocking form, and Liverpool are riding the crest of a wave at the top of the league.
Jurgen Klopp’s side will be brimming with confidence, and they will be looking to emulate last season’s 7-0 win in order to truly compile the misery for Erik ten Hag’s side.
Of course, as we’ve seen in these derby games time and time again, anything can happen, but this weekend it feels like United face a massive uphill battle as they attempt to topple Klopp’s side.
United could be facing another potential embarrassment this weekend.
