Liverpool look back to something close to their best.
The Reds have lost just one game in the Premier League so far this season – and that was in controversial circumstances, and they could well be title challengers once again.
The Merseyside club have got their mojo back, and Jurgen Klopp’s heavy-metal football is back with a bang.
Klopp revolutionised the Premier League with his pressing style back when he first arrived, and now, Liverpool are playing that style better than ever before.
Speaking on the BBC Radio Five Live Football Daily Podcast, Stephen Kelly has been discussing Liverpool’s pressing, and he says that the Reds are even better than Man City when it comes to pressurising the ball now.

Kelly shared his verdict on Liverpool’s press.
“We talk about pressing and energy, Man City and Tottenham do it, but Liverpool did it first, and now that he’s energised the middle of the park, they do it even better, it’s a tough place to get anything,” Kelly said.
Revitalised
A team’s press is only as good as the effort the players are putting in, and, for the first time in a while, Liverpool’s players look ready to die for the shirt.
Last season, there was a real lull around Anfield, but now, with new talent through the door and fresh opportunities on the horizon, Liverpool are playing with a newfound energy that wasn’t there last season.
Meanwhile, City seem to have slacked off a bit after their treble win, and while they’re still one of the best teams around, that energy isn’t there the way it used to be.
The title race this season is shaping up to be incredibly interesting, and we’re excited to see how this all pans out.
