Liverpool are about to enter a new era under Arne Slot.
The Dutchman is replacing an absolute legend in the shape of Jurgen Klopp, and, without being disrespectful, things are expected to get worse before they get better at Liverpool.
Indeed, unless you’re a truly unbelievable manager, improving on what Klopp has done at Liverpool will be an almost impossible task.
However, there is a feeling of positivity within Liverpool, and some at the club believe that Slot could work wonders with one player in particular.
According to David Lynch, speaking on his YouTube channel, Liverpool believe that Slot will help Darwin Nunez improve going forward.

Lynch shared what he knows about the view of Nunez and Slot.
“If he finished at a normal level he’d be such a dangerous player, there will be a consensus at Liverpool and it’s certainly my understanding that the consensus is that there’s more to come under Nunez, yes he’s been frustrating, but they believe under Arne Slot that slight improvements can be made under his game to make him the really dangerous forward they thought they were getting,” Lynch said.
Arne Slot knows how to help strikers
Liverpool supporters would be forgiven for not knowing too much about Slot before his move to Anfield, but if there is one thing the Dutchman is good at it’s getting the best out of his strikers.
At AZ Alkmaar, he turned a young Myron Boadu into a 20-goal striker, earning him a move to Monaco, while Santiago Gimenez has bagged 23 league goals this season for Feyenoord.
For one reason or another, Slot has the Midas touch when it comes to bringing the best out of his strikers, and there’s every reason to believe that he could have the same sort of impact with Nunez at Liverpool going forwards.
