‘There could be a twist’: Journalist suggests Liverpool might still lose their ‘incredible’ player this summer

There hasn’t been much to shout about at Liverpool recently.

The Reds have been in poor form for a little while now, and it does feel as though there is an air of uncertainty at Anfield as Jurgen Klopp gears up to leave the club.

Luckily, Liverpool did get a bit of a boost this week as David Ornstein stated that Mohamed Salah is likely to stay at the club beyond this summer.

However, speaking on The RedMen TV, Neil Jones has given a bit of a different spin.

Indeed, the journalist stated that he could still see there being a twist in this tale, claiming that stances could change if a concrete offer arrives for the Egyptian.

Mohamed Salah transfer twist could happen

Jones spoke about the ‘incredible‘ Liverpool star

“I wouldn’t sell him at any point. Liverpool need players they can bank on and he’s one of them. We’ll see. I still think there could be a decision and there could be a twist. It’s easy to say you expect him to stay, but when an offer comes in, you don’t know what the offer is and the story said he’s given no indication he wants to leave, but what if he does in the meantime?” Jones said.

Mohamed Salah has a price

At the moment, it does look as though Salah will stay at Anfield this summer, but, as the old saying goes, everybody’s got a price.

If Saudi clubs do come in for Salah this summer, Liverpool may not be able to resist a big-money bid.

Let’s be real here, at the age of 31, Salah is heading into the latter stages of his career, and if you can get a huge fee for him and sign a replacement, that would be smart in terms of long-term planning.

It will be interesting to see if Salah does indeed move this month.
