131 Jeff Stelling believes Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has been the best manager in the Premier League so far this season.
The German is set to head out the door at Anfield this summer after almost nine years in Merseyside.
In what will be his final season at the club, Jurgen Klopp currently has Liverpool top of the Premier League.
The Reds have already picked up silverware this term after beating Chelsea in the Carabao Cup final last month, while they also remain in the FA Cup and Europa League.
While there are many contenders for the Manager of the Season award, Jeff Stelling and Ally McCoist believe Klopp is leading the race at this moment in time.
Klopp has been the best manager in the Premier League this season
Speaking on talkSPORT, Stelling made his case for Klopp being the best manager in England’s top flight so far this term.
“It’s Jurgen Klopp for me as well,” he said. “I know you’re going to say this is Klopp FM but he’s won the Carabao Cup, they’re in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup, still in Europe.
“Last season, Liverpool lost nine times and finished 22 points behind Manchester City. This season, they’ve lost twice and they’re a point ahead of Man City. I think the stats tell you it’s Klopp.”
“At this moment in time, I’m going for Klopp,” McCoist added. “Plus the fact, and it’s a massive thing, look at the youngsters he’s thrown in.
“Danns scored a couple of goals, Koumas scored at Southampton. I just think at this moment in time, there’s still a long way to go, but Klopp gets it for me.”
Should Klopp deliver a second Premier League title this season, it would be difficult to deny him the Manager of the Season award.
He also has the chance to end his spell at Anfield in some style as Liverpool remain on track for a quadruple.
When you consider the fact that Liverpool were way off the pace last season, it makes the job Klopp has done over the past 12 months all the more remarkable.
