Manchester United head coach Erik ten Hag has given his verdict on Rasmus Hojlund.
Ten Hag has noted how Hojlund is different from other young players and has praised him for the way he trains.
So, what has Manchester United head coach Erik ten Hag said about Rasmus Hojlund? Let’s take a look.
Erik ten Hag praises Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund
Well, Rasmus Hojlund is not having the best of times. While the striker has done well for Manchester United in the UEFA Champions League, he has not been a huge success in the Premier League so far.
Hojlund joined United from Atalanta in the summer of 2023. The Red Devils paid £72 million in transfer fees for the Denmark international.
The striker has made nine starts and three substitute appearances in the Premier League. He has not scored or provided an assist. Graeme Souness has not been impressed.

United manager Erik ten Hag has noted the striker is different from other young players in terms of scoring in Europe’s premier club competition, adding that he has been impressive in training.
Ten Hag told United’s official website about Hojlund: “As you said, he has scored at the highest level. Champions League, five goals, is massive for the performance of a young player.
“I don’t think there are so many young players who can do that, he has the potential. We recognise that and we are sure he will get there.
“He will go and score in the Premier League, I see how he is working in training. We have to work on our attacking game and he has had his opportunities.
“The team have brought him to the right place, but it can always be better. As you say, he has not scored so far in the Premier League. So we have to work on that.”
Liverpool a big game for Rasmus Hojlund
In my view, the match against Liverpool will be massive for Rasmus Hojlund. It is very likely that the youngster will lead the line for Manchester United.
It will be interesting to see if the striker scores. I believe that the two wide players have to play to Hojlund’s strengths. United need to create chances for the Denmark international.
