Dean Saunders has named the Liverpool player who started on Saturday he now believes could play in any team in the world following their win over Burnley at Anfield.
Jurgen Klopp’s men made hard work of their clash against the Clarets on Merseyside. But goals from Diogo Jota, Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez sent Liverpool back to the top of the Premier League table.
Concerns over how Liverpool would fare while Mohamed Salah has been away on international duty have been put to bed in emphatic fashion. The Reds have won all but two of their nine games in 2024 so far. And one of those games they failed to win came when they already had an advantage in their Carabao Cup semi-final.
Liverpool star Diogo Jota could get into any team in the world
Certainly, the form of Diogo Jota has been crucial for Liverpool in recent weeks. Since the 27-year-old returned on Boxing Day, he has scored six goals and provided three assists.

And speaking on talkSPORT, Dean Saunders suggested that the Portuguese could find a spot in any team worldwide right now.
“Do you know what, the more I watch Jota play, the more I like him. He could play in any team, he just fits in. Class,” he said.
Reds have passed crucial test with flying colours
Jota is another player who has proved to be a bargain for Liverpool. The Reds paid £40 million to sign him from Wolves. And he now has 75 goal involvements in just 140 appearances for the club.
Liverpool now find themselves top of the table with Mohamed Salah set to return in the near future. They may not have been at their best on Saturday, but with the depth they have in attack, Klopp’s men have the potential to blow any team away.
