Liverpool will need a new manager this summer.
The Reds are set to lose Jurgen Klopp at the end of the season after he announced he will be leaving the club on Friday.
As always, Liverpool will be pro-active in their search for a new manager, and it sounds as though they’re already drawing up a few plans.
Indeed, speaking on The Done Deal Show, Ben Jacobs has claimed that sources have told him now that there are up to seven named on the list, and he says that Roberto De Zerbi, Xabi Alonso, Hansi Flick and Ruben Amorim are at least a few names under consideration.

Jacobs spoke about Liverpool’s managerial situation.
“I would expect as many as seven names on the list from what sources say. That’s not to say that they’re all credible or frontrunners. We will definitely see Roberto De Zerbi and Xabi Alonso as two, Hansi Flick will be under consideration, Ruben Amorim will be looked at but can’t be termed a frontrunner, and there will be a number of other linked names,” Jacobs said.
Exciting
We’ve only had a snippet of the managers Liverpool are looking at here, but it would appear that the Reds are fishing in the right sort of pond here.
The Merseyside club clearly want to replace Klopp with another attack-minded manager, and any of these four could be great options.
Ruben Amorim and Hansi Flick already have league titles to their names in Portugal and Germany respectively, while Xabi Alonso could soon join that illustrious list of league-winning gaffers.
Meanwhile, Roberto De Zerbi has done a fantastic job with Brighton over the past 12 months, and he could well be ready for a step up to a club like Liverpool.
It will certainly be intriguing to see who the Reds’ next manager will be.
