Liverpool’s search for a new manager is taking them all around the houses.

Umpteen managers have been linked with the soon-to-be vacant role at Anfield, but, as of yet, we’re none-the-wiser as to who will ultimately replace Jurgen Klopp this summer.

There are many rumours and theories doing the rounds at the moment around who could replace Klopp, and Frank Leboeuf, reckons there’s a manager who can now be considered as the favourite for the job.

The favourite for the Liverpool job

Speaknig on ESPN, Leboeuf spoke about the upcoming vacancy at Liverpool, and he says that he would consider Roberto De Zerbi as the favourite for the job right now.

“It could all change at Liverpool depending on who replaces Klopp. Even. If you have De Zerbi who I think is the favourite. I don’t see Nagelsmann, and I don’t see Postecoglou, I don’t know why he’s even on that list, I think he’s going to stay at Spurs,” LeBouef said.

Roberto De Zerbi would make sense

Leboeuf reckons De Zerbi could be the favourite for the Liverpool job, and we can understand why.

The Italian looks to be a great fit for Liverpool, not only does he play a high-octane, exciting brand of football, he’s also a strong personality who should be well-suited to the club’s overall ethos.

Factor in that De Zerbi also has plenty of Premier League experience under his belt, and you have a manager who looks to be absolutely perfect for this job.

Whether or not Liverpool do end up going in for De Zerbi remains to be seen, but there are certainly worse options out there on the market than the ‘amazing’ Brighton boss.

This is certainly a situation to keep an eye on in the coming months as Liverpool step up their search for a new gaffer.
