Gary Neville has given his verdict on Liverpool and Brazil international goalkeeper Alisson.
The former Manchester United defender and Sky Sports pundit believes that Alisson is the best goalkeeper in the Premier League.
So, what has Gary Neville said about Liverpool star Alisson? Let’s take a look.
Gary Neville loves Liverpool and Brazil goalkeeper Alisson
Well, Gary Neville spoke highly of Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson ahead of the Premier League match against Newcastle United at Anfield on Monday evening.
The former Manchester United defender said that he would have loved Alisson in his team.
The Sky Sports pundit has outlined the attributes of the £67 million (Sky Sports) Brazil international goalkeeper and believes that he could be a huge factor in Liverpool potentially winning the Premier League title this season.

“I always thought that we were at our most confident at Manchester United when we had a brilliant goalkeeper, a real presence, and Alisson, you can see that he is the best performing goalkeeper over the last five years in this league.
“He is everything that I would want to look for in a goalkeeper. He dominates his box, he is decent with his feet, he is so hard to beat one-on-one.
“I always think that there are big saves that goalkeepers make in a title race, and I think if you are going towards the title, this is where Liverpool do have a performer that can really them win the title. He is outstanding. I would want him in my goal.”
My View: Alisson is world class
In my opinion, Alisson is world class and is one of the best goalkeepers on the planet. Peter Schmeichel rates him highly.
One of the reasons why Liverpool have won the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League in recent years is because of Alisson. Jamie Carragher thinks that if he was at Arsenal, then the Gunners would win the league.
The 31-year-old is brilliant in one-v-one situations, can play out from the back, claims crosses well, commands his area, and is very reliable in goal.
Alisson is 31 now. He is at the top of his game and is not showing any signs of slowing down. I believe that Liverpool need not worry about signing a new goalkeeper anytime soon.
The Brazilian has made 191 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career. Alisson has kept 84 clean sheets, has scored one goal, and has kept three clean sheets in those games. He has also won the Golden Glove twice.
