Bobby Clark has made a super start to his senior Liverpool career after breaking into Jurgen Klopp’s side of late – and his Father would love to see him join Newcastle United at some point in his career.
Clark only turned 19 in February but has come into the side of late, making 11 senior outings since the turn of the year. He got an assist in The FA Cup against Southampton, during Liverpool’s 3-0 victory.
Then, last night, Clark scored his first goal for Liverpool in a 6-1 win over Sparta Prague in the Europa League. He also laid on his second assist and is quickly making a name for himself under boss Klopp.
His Father will be remembered by many, as former Newcastle midfielder Lee Clark. Speaking on the new episode of the No Tippy Tappy Football pod, Clark hopes his son plays for Newcastle at some point.

“I was lucky enough to play for them 265 times and, who knows, he might have to do an Alan Shearer and come back. That would be my dream,” Clark added. Perhaps at some point, that may happen.

There was interest in Clark from Premier League clubs, and Championship sides in January. But, that was before he broke into the Liverpool side and you would imagine that The Reds will want to keep him.
Whether his progression continues after the Klopp era remains to be seen. But in the hunt for a League title and other trophies, Clark is now going to play a part – something he could only have dreamed of.
