Michael Edwards’ appointment as CEO of Football at Anfield is the first of a series of changes, and it seems Richard Hughes will soon be announced in his role too.

After those appointments there’s then the slightly important decision of the club’s new manager.

Fans probably still consider Xabi Alonso as the favourite, even if Simone Inzaghi is also looking like an incredibly strong prospect at Inter Milan.

But those are decisions for the new board, and Klopp and his Liverpool squad will just be concentrating on all they can still achieve this season.

And to that end, Liverpool youngster Jarell Quansah has now been speaking about his future at the club in an interview with The Athletic

Quansah has enjoyed a brilliant breakthrough campaign making 24 appearances all in all, and it doesn’t seem like he’s planning to go anywhere anytime soon.

He explained: “I’m playing for one of the biggest clubs in the world.

“I’ve been here for 16 years already, so why not make it 25 or 30 years? That’s the dream.”

Of course, that will be a very welcome proposition from a Liverpool fan point of view.

Quansah has shown real consistency and maturity in his performances this year, demonstrated by his trust to start against Manchester City.

Liverpool’s next manager, be it Xabi Alonso, Julian Nagelsmann or anyone else, will definitely enjoy working with the youngster in the future.

And when you consider there’s also the likes of Harvey Elliott there ready to fulfil so much potential, the future is certainly bright.

That being said, it seems one candidate for the Liverpool job may be about to make a decision on their future
