David Seaman has given his verdict on Liverpool forward Diogo Jota after watching him in action against Bournemouth this past weekend.
Jota scored two goals for Liverpool, and former Arsenal goalkeeper Seaman was impressed.
So, what has David Seaman said about Liverpool and Portugal international forward Diogo Jota? Let’s take a look.
David Seaman praises Liverpool forward Diogo Jota
Well, Liverpool took on Bournemouth away from home in the Premier League this past weekend.
Jurgen Klopp’s side won 4-0. Portugal international forward Diogo Jota scored two goals.
Jota’s first goal came in the 70th minute when he beat Neto at his neat post after being released by Cody Gakpo.
The £140,000-a-week (Spotrac) 27-year-old former Wolverhampton Wanderers forward added to his tally nine minutes later when he found the target with a low shot.

Seaman said about Jota on the Seaman Says podcast: “When we were watching it, his first goal, we were like, ‘He can finish him’ and just that first goal the way he actually finished it was brilliant.
“It came to him quick but he set it up and what was it his second goal, he set himself up! The little swipe-and-miss and then set it up and then bang.
“He’s a proper finisher and then that’s the difference that Liverpool have got. They’ve got people like that coming off the bench that then influence the team.”
My View: Diogo Jota will play a big role in Liverpool’s title quest
In my opinion, Diogo Jota is one of the best forwards in the Premier League and is a big player for Liverpool. One pundit thinks that he is underrated.
Just like he did against Bournemouth, the 27-year-old will have to chip in with important goals, especially in the coming weeks during the absence of Mohamed Salah.
Jota is not guaranteed a place in the Liverpool starting lineup, but he almost always tends to deliver when he plays.
The 27-year-old has scored seven goals and provided two assists in nine Premier League starts for Liverpool this season.
Jota has scored 54 goals and given 16 assists in 158 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.
