Liverpool star Alexis Mac Allister has completely denied claims that he is helping Darwin Nunez a lot this season.
The Reds are having a fine campaign, aren’t they? They’ve already won the Carabao Cup and are among the favourites to win the Premier League, Europa League and even the FA Cup. Mac Allister and Nunez have struck a fantastic partnership.

Liverpool signed Darwin Nunez from Benfica before the start of last season, and the Uruguayan has had his ups and downs.
Everybody can see he is a tremendous talent, but he has missed plenty of chances in a Liverpool short, and that has led to a ton of criticism.
Nunez has looked a lot better this season, and his partnership with Alexis Mac Allister was on display again last weekend as the duo combined to score a 99th-minute winner against Nottingham Forest.
The Argentine has heaped praise on Nunez now, but he has completely denied claims that he has been helping the striker a lot at Liverpool.
He said, as per the club’s official website: “My relationship with Darwin is very good, of course. I think since the first time we met you could see the connection between us off the pitch.
“Then, on the pitch, of course we try to be connected. When I play as a No.8 of course, that connection has to be important. He is an amazing guy, he is doing very well and he works very hard. That is why I am very happy for him.
“Sometimes I hear people say I help him a lot but that is not true! His level is because he trains very well, he works very hard and that’s why he is scoring goals and why he is important for this team.”

Liverpool take on Manchester City this weekend in what is arguably their biggest game of the season yet.
The Reds and Pep Guardiola‘s side are separated by just one point, and at least one club, if not both, will drop points at Anfield this weekend.
Liverpool will be hoping to beat the champions and extend their lead at the top of the table. Darwin Nunez and Alexis Mac Allister have both been in good form, and they will be key.
If the two South Americans can combine against City as well as they did last weekend, Liverpool could go on and win the game.
