Garth Crooks has now made a comment about Darwin Nunez and Jürgen Klopp after Liverpool suffered a 3-1 defeat on Sunday.
The 65-year-old was writing in his Team of the Week segment for BBC Sport.
So, what was written about Darwin Nunez and Jürgen Klopp? Let’s take a look…
What Crooks said about Nunez and Klopp
Well, the man from Bucknall admitted he was “surprised” to see the Uruguay international named on the bench for Sunday’s trip to the Emirates Stadium.
Crooks wrote: “Liverpool blew Chelsea away in midweek and so I was surprised Nunez was left out of their starting lineup against Arsenal. There was a time when Liverpool never changed a winning side. It might be worth returning to that philosophy.”
In fairness to Klopp, there was a fitness concern involving the South American – who those at Anfield are delighted with overall.

The Liverpool No.9’s absence did appear to have a negative impact on proceedings for Klopp, as a lack of pace in attack ensured the likes of William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes could squeeze higher and put more pressure on the Reds.
How Nunez performed in Arsenal 3-1 Liverpool
Nunez did eventually appear against Arsenal, replacing Cody Gakpo in the 58th minute with the scoreline level at 1-1.
However, the 24-year-old struggled to get involved.

It was a disappointing cameo – to say the least – although things may have turned out differently had the £64m man been fit enough to start.
Hopefully, Nunez will be able to start against Burnley on Saturday.
