Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp was spotted applauding Harvey Elliott just a few minutes before the end of the first half against West Ham United tonight.
The Reds were at their dominant best against the Hammers at Anfield. They picked up a deserved win and booked their place in the semi-final of the Carabao Cup. Elliott had a really good game for Liverpool.

Liverpool started the game with a front three of Cody Gakpo, Darwin Nunez and Harvey Elliott.
The Reds dominated the game from start to finish, and they definitely deserved to score more than just the one that they managed in the first half.
Liverpool did come close on a few occasions. Three minutes before half-time, Gakpo found himself in the box at the end of a lovely cross from Elliott.
The Dutchman’s header narrowly missed the goal.
On the touchline, BBC Sport journalist Simon Stone noticed Jurgen Klopp on his feet applauding Elliott for his brilliant ball into the box.
“Harvey Elliott has been superb in the first-half. That cross for Cody Gakpo brought a round of applause from his manager. West Ham are not getting tight enough to Elliott, who has too much room,” Stone wrote on BBC Sport.

West Ham decided to give Harvey Elliott all the time and space in the world in the first half, and the Liverpool youngster thrived.
The 20-year-old, described as priceless by Paul Merson. was constantly on the ball. He had a lot of time to pick out his passes in the final third, and he caused the Hammers a ton of problems.
Klopp was clearly impressed with Elliott and so are we. The £40,000-a-week (Spotrac) man hasn’t had a performance as good as this one in a while, and that should give him some serious confidence going forward.
Liverpool take on Arsenal next, and it will be interesting to see if Klopp will give Elliott a start. It is unlikely, but he’s more than good enough to hold his own if he does get the nod.
