Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp says Mohamed Salah is “right up there” among the best players he has even coached.
The Reds boss, speaking to the club media team ahead of Wednesday’s Premier League trip to Sheffield United, says he doesn’t expect to coach anyone with the same numbers as Salah ever again.
Salah is currently on the verge of scoring his 200th Liverpool goal and could reach the milestone in the trip to the Premier League’s basement side.
The Egypt international has also registered 86 assists alongside his 199 goals for Liverpool, as well as getting 53 goals in 93 Pharaohs appearances.
In addition, Salah was named the 2023 Football Supporters’ Association Men’s Player of the Year earlier this month.

The £34million man has netted 27 goals to date in the calendar year for the Reds, as well as providing 16 assists.
Jurgen Klopp loves coaching Liverpool star Mohamed Salah
When asked where Salah ranked among the best players he has coached, Klopp said: “Right up there. That’s 100 per cent.
“A player with his numbers I’m not sure I will ever coach again. It’s just the way it is.
“His whole development from the first talks we had to the talks we have now, as a man, is an incredible and very impressive development and growth – and as a player as well.
“Absolutely exceptional player, all-time great. No shadow of a doubt. I was blessed to have a few good ones, to be honest, but he is right up there and the numbers are super-special.”
Salah is one of the best players in the history of the Premier League, there’s no doubt about that. His stats speak for themselves.
He regularly weighs in with a staggering amount of goals and assists. His consistency over the past few years has been the stuff of dreams for any manager.
If the 31-year-old does end up contributing to over 50 goals this term – he registered a tally of 46 last season – Liverpool have every chance of winning a few trophies.
