Liverpool probably aren’t done yet, as their midfield could do with bolstering amid expiring contracts and ageing legs.

However, other names have been doing the rounds on the rumour mill.
One of those is Enzo Fernandez, who helped Argentina win the World Cup at the end of last year.
O Jogo recently reported that the Reds had ‘priority’ over the Benfica and Albiceleste star.
However, the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United, Newcastle, Chelsea and Tottenham have also been linked.
Last week, Fabrizio Romano claimed Liverpool have held talks over Fernandez amid “strong interest”.
At the time, he said the race for the 21-year-old was open.
Since then, it looks as though Chelsea have manoeuvred into pole position with an apparent bid.
Amid the transfer talk, Fernandez is reported to have flown home to Argentina last week, against Benfica’s wishes.
As per Sportskeeda, the player allegedly missed a day’s training due to being in his native country.
And on Friday, coach Roger Schmidt dropped Fernandez from the matchday squad for the 1-0 win over Portimorense.

‘We need him’
Schmidt spoke about his player after the match, seemingly drawing a line under the incident.
“It’s clear what Enzo Fernández did wasn’t right, that’s why he wasn’t in the team,” Fabrizio Romano quotes him as saying.
“I’m happy to announce from tomorrow I’ll see Enzo in training.
“He is our player, we need him… now Enzo can focus on Benfica and football again.”
Nonetheless, with the January window in full swing, speculation over the ‘spectacular’ midfielder likely won’t be going away anytime soon.
