After a weekend of frantic action, Micah Richards has been talking up a manager who he believes could replace Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool.
Whatever happens in the summer, it’s clear that Klopp is ending his incredible tenure at Anfield on a real high.

The academy is thriving, and there are a host of talents ready and waiting to help the first team.
And it’s clear that whoever replaces Klopp in the summer will be walking into an excellent environment to succeed.
That being said, Micah Richards has been discussing the credentials of one candidate often linked with replacing Klopp at Liverpool.
Although Xabi Alonso seems to be first choice, perhaps Brighton & Hove Albion manager Roberto De Zerbi isn’t too far behind.
And when speaking on ‘The Rest Is Football’ podcast, Richards was confident that De Zerbi has all the attributes to succeed at the top of the game.
Micah Richards believes Roberto De Zerbi can replace Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool
Richards was originally discussing De Zerbi’s time at Brighton with Alan Shearer on the podcast.
And although the pair felt the manager tinkered with his side a little too much sometimes, Richards did still think he was up to the task of replacing Klopp at Liverpool.

He explained: “I think he’s got the ability [to replace Klopp], he’s a top manager.
“I agree with Alan, I think there at too many changes [at Brighton] at times, and especially wit the goalkeeper, I think that’s an important one especially as a defender, you want that sort of chemistry.”
He then added: “I remember when he was in Italy at Sassuolo and the way they was playing, they always used to chop and change, they used to come up with really good tactics.
“Obviously then went to Shakhtar, then he got his move to Brighton.
“He’s got something special but he’s a bit like, not Pep in terms of quality but the way they see the game, always trying to forward thinking in terms of what can I do differently, tactically and sometimes it can be seen as its too much.
“But when it works, it really does work for him, and I think he’s got all the attributes to be a top top manager.”
Tough competition
It’s certainly an interesting one to consider.
Perhaps De Zerbi is still behind the likes of Xabi Alonso and Ruben Amorim in the pecking order, but it remains to be seen.
Either way, it’s clear that there are a few outstanding candidates to replace Klopp for next season, and some Liverpool fans will probably agree with Richards’ words.
That being said, Michael Owen has now been predicting what will happen when Liverpool face Manchester City next week.
